How to reach Ibn Battuta Mall
From the train, follow signs for Ibn Battuta Mall rather than the bus station. The station is connected to the mall side of Sheikh Zayed Road, making this one of Dubai's easiest malls to reach by metro.
Allow extra time at weekends and during sales. If meeting someone, agree on a named mall court or entrance rather than “the metro exit”.
Which Red Line train should you take?
From Downtown Dubai, Business Bay or Dubai Marina
Board a Red Line train heading towards UAE Exchange and leave at Ibn Battuta (R39). Service patterns can change, so follow the destination shown on station screens.
From Expo City Dubai
Take the Red Line towards the city and follow live RTA directions for Ibn Battuta. Depending on the operating pattern, you may need to change at a branch interchange.
From Dubai International Airport
From Terminals 1 or 3, take the Red Line south-west. This is a long cross-city journey, so allow time for the airport walk and any change shown by RTA.
Ibn Battuta Bus Station connections
The bus station beside the metro provides local and intercity transfers. Services commonly associated with this hub include 8, 91, 91A, 96, F43, F44, F46, F55, F55A, X92 and X94. Routes and stands can change, so confirm the live stop and departure in the RTA journey planner.
E101 bus to Abu Dhabi
The E101 has traditionally linked Ibn Battuta Bus Station with Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. Before relying on it, check the current intercity timetable, boarding requirements and payment through Dubai RTA and Abu Dhabi Mobility.
