Huda Kattan Reclaims Full Ownership of Huda Beauty After Ending TSG Partnership

Huda Kattan has regained full control of Huda Beauty. She bought back shares from TSG Consumer Partners, ending their eight-year partnership. The beauty brand is now 100% founder-owned. That makes it one of the few global cosmetics brands led solely by its creator.

Kattan said this marks a “dream come true.” She called it a return to her brand’s original vision and values.

She aims to stay independent, creative, and disruptive. This move will help Huda Beauty grow on its own terms again.

Huda Beauty began in 2013 with a false eyelash line. It now includes makeup, skincare, and limited-edition launches. The brand’s Instagram account has over 57 million followers. It’s one of the biggest in the beauty industry.

Kattan’s husband, Christopher Goncalo, remains Co-CEO. Her sister Alya Kattan continues to lead the brand’s social media strategy. This leadership style keeps the company personal and authentic. It also helps maintain direct communication with loyal fans worldwide.

The buyback was funded by selling KAYALI Fragrance to Mona Kattan and General Atlantic. That sale gave Huda the flexibility to reclaim control. With full ownership restored, Kattan promises bold new launches, better community engagement, and a stronger commitment to clean beauty.
