Dubai health screening now allows job and residency tests in one single visit.
Dubai has introduced a new system that combines medical fitness tests for residency and occupational health into one streamlined process. The move means applicants no longer need multiple appointments to complete separate screenings.
The Unified Health Screening initiative, launched by Dubai Health, simplifies procedures through a smart digital platform. Professionals from various sectors can now submit one automated application based on their job category.
The new service merges medical fitness examinations for residency permits and occupational health requirements into a single visit. Once medical results are finalized, residency permits are issued automatically.
This integration connects databases across key authorities to ensure faster and more accurate procedures. The initiative aims to reduce duplication, save time, and improve the overall customer experience.
The project is implemented in collaboration with multiple government entities, including the Dubai Health Authority, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Municipality, the Supreme Legislation Committee, and the Department of Finance.
The initiative forms part of the ‘City Makers’ program under the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai. It supports the goals of Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which you can learn more about via the official Dubai Economic Agenda D33 page.

He explained that linking databases ensures secure information exchange and allows residency permits to be issued smoothly once requirements are met.
Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said the initiative strengthens Dubai’s inspection and regulatory framework. He added that real-time data access will help inspection teams ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Dr. Amer Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, called the service a qualitative leap in joint government services. He said it simplifies the customer journey and reinforces Dubai’s position as a global leader in smart government integration.
