Dubai is set to come alive with the colors of Pakistan as it hosts Jashn-e-Azaadi, a grand celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day, on August 10 at Expo City.
The event, organized by Emirates Loves Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Association Dubai, will honor the vibrant Pakistani community living in the UAE. It aims to promote unity, heritage, and pride through music, cultural showcases, and public gathering.
Taking place at the heart of Expo City Dubai, the celebration will last 12 hours, kicking off from noon until midnight. It will include performances by top Pakistani artists such as singer-composer Sahir Ali Bagga, soulful rock vocalist Natasha Baig, and fashion designer-performer Yousuf Bashir Qureshi.
Organizers say the event will feature a mix of live music, dance, food stalls, fashion, and interactive experiences designed for all ages. Entry is open to the public, and thousands of attendees are expected.
The UAE is home to over 1.5 million Pakistanis, making it one of the largest Pakistani expatriate communities globally. Celebrations like Jashn-e-Azaadi not only highlight cultural pride but also reinforce the deep ties between the two nations.
“It’s more than just a national day, it’s about recognizing our shared values of peace, progress, and community,” said one organizer.
Dubai continues to be a hub for multicultural events, and initiatives like this reflect the emirate’s commitment to inclusivity and global harmony. The event also aligns with Dubai’s vision to become a top destination for global festivals and cross-cultural celebrations.
