Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the programme provided practical tools and mentorship to participants interested in building successful podcast platforms. From content planning and recording to post-production and audience growth, each stage was designed to foster hands-on learning.
The initiative was launched to address the rising demand for Arabic-language content and the need for authentic, regionally rooted storytelling. With podcasting becoming one of the fastest-growing media trends globally, the Arab Podcast Programme gives local talent the skills to join the movement.
According to WAM News Agency, this edition highlighted topics such as podcast monetisation, branding, scriptwriting, and sound design, further bridging the gap between amateur creators and professional production standards.
Participants in the programme came from diverse backgrounds, including journalism, education, tech, and entertainment. Many entered with personal stories or social issues they wanted to explore through podcasting. The training empowered them to use their voices meaningfully and professionally.
“It’s about giving people the skills to tell their stories in powerful ways,” said a Dubai Press Club spokesperson. “Audio allows for intimacy and authenticity, which today’s audiences deeply connect with.”
The Arab Podcast Programme also supports the UAE’s broader media vision by enhancing local talent, promoting free expression, and aligning with the country’s ambition to be a regional content hub.
As the curtains fall on this second edition, graduates are expected to launch their own podcasts in the coming months, bringing fresh perspectives and regional voices to global platforms.
With strong institutional backing and rising public interest, the future of Arabic podcasting looks brighter than ever.
