Dubai Police Unveils 2025 Summer Programme with 13 Activities

Dubai Police has officially launched its 2025 Summer Programme for students, running from 30 June to 31 July, under the theme “Our Summer: Safety, Happiness, Innovation, and Leadership.”

Held under the patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the programme is organised by the General Department of Anti-Narcotics through the Hemaya International Centre. It is a joint effort involving the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and multiple Dubai Police departments.

The initiative is open to students of all nationalities and age groups.

National Values, New Skills

The programme was unveiled at a press conference at Dubai Police Officers Club. Speakers included Engineer Tariq Al Hashmi from the Ministry of Education, Major General Dr Muhammad Issa Al Adhab, and Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza.

Tariq Al Hashmi praised the initiative as a national model, stating, “It develops student skills and strengthens Emirati values.” He also confirmed that 45 buses and multiple training centres will be provided to ensure access across Dubai.

Dr Al Adhab added that the programme aims to foster legal awareness and national identity. “It’s about shaping responsible youth who respect laws and leadership,” he said.

A Scientifically Structured Curriculum

Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza noted that the summer programme follows a scientific model to teach leadership, responsibility, and discipline. “Developing student character requires all institutions to work together,” he stressed.

The 2025 programme will run across 16 centres, including:

  • Hamdan Bin Rashid Secondary School for Boys
  • Zayed Educational Complexes in Oud Al Muteena, Al Warqaa, and Al Barsha
  • Hatta 1 Basic Education School
  • Asma Bint Al Noman Model School
  • Rashid Bin Saeed School in Hatta

Specialised training will also occur at police facilities like the K9 Security Department, the General Department of Transport and Rescue, and the Mounted Police Station.

13 Hands-On Activities

This year’s programme features 13 interactive activities, including:

  • Diving and swimming courses
  • Military fitness training
  • Young Investigator and Future Officer programmes
  • 901 Call Centre and K9 Police Dog training
  • Horse care and cycling courses

These are complemented by awareness sessions and field visits.

Impact and Growth

Brigadier Dr. Abdulrahman Al Maamari shared that over 375,000 students from 175 nationalities have joined these programmes over the past three years. More than 500 awareness activities have been conducted in schools.

In 2024 alone, the programme hosted 1,136 students, 633 males and 503 females, from 81 schools across Dubai, with 816 Emirati and 320 expatriate students.

Backed by 40 Partners

Brigadier bin Muwaiza credited the success to 40 strategic partners, including Dubai Police and KHDA. These partners provide logistics, air-conditioned venues, professional trainers, and safe transportation.

“These partnerships ensure students have the tools to become future leaders,” he said.

The Dubai Police Summer Programme 2025 stands as a united effort to turn summer break into a season of growth, discipline, and leadership.
