The event was led by His Excellency Major General Eid Muhammad Thani, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, and Major General Rashid Al Falasi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue. They were joined by senior officials from Al Nabooda Automobiles, including Jan Scheidgen, General Manager of Audi – Al Nabooda Automobiles.
The new Audi RS7 Performance is no ordinary patrol vehicle. With 630 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. Its striking design, combined with advanced onboard technologies, makes it an eye-catching yet powerful symbol of Dubai’s high-tech approach to law enforcement.
During the unveiling, Major General Thani received a full briefing on the car’s performance, features, and intended role within the Dubai Police fleet. He noted that these types of vehicles are not just about speed, they help create a stronger police presence in key tourist areas and reinforce public confidence.
Major General Thani praised the long-standing collaboration with Al Nabooda Automobiles, calling them a strategic partner in helping Dubai Police maintain one of the most advanced patrol fleets in the world.
“By including high-performance sports cars like the Audi RS7, we not only increase our operational capability but also support Dubai’s image as a safe, smart, and luxurious destination,” he said.
K. Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles, echoed this sentiment: “Our partnership with Dubai Police is built on ambition and mutual trust. With the RS7, we’re proud to contribute to Dubai’s leadership in innovation and mobility.”
He added that the collaboration reflects a shared goal: making Dubai a global symbol of excellence in both security and design.
While the RS7 may look like a supercar built for the racetrack, it’s also part of Dubai Police’s broader mission to engage with the public, especially tourists. The presence of such cars in tourist areas is part of a strategy to combine visibility, safety, and modern aesthetics in one powerful package.
This unveiling continues Dubai Police’s ongoing upgrades to their fleet, following recent additions of other high-profile vehicles aimed at blending performance with prestige.
With the RS7 now officially part of the team, Dubai Police is once again making it clear: in this city, even patrol cars reflect world-class ambition.
