One of the key components of the project is an advanced pumping station. It has a maximum flow capacity of 4,000 litres per second. This will help manage both daily sewage flow and heavy rainwater during storms, minimizing the risk of overflow or flooding.
The project was part of Dubai’s broader urban development strategy. It focuses on upgrading public infrastructure to match rapid growth and improve environmental safety.
A representative from Dubai Municipality said the completion of this integrated sewerage network reflects the government’s long-term commitment to smart infrastructure planning. It supports a cleaner, safer, and more resilient city.
