Centerpoint Metro Station

Centrepoint Metro Station (R11)—still commonly called Rashidiya—is the eastern terminus of Dubai Metro’s Red Line. It serves Al Rashidiya, the airport side of Dubai and northern residential districts, and it has one of the network’s main park-and-ride facilities plus an adjoining bus station.

Park-and-ride at Centrepoint

Centrepoint is one of Dubai Metro’s principal park-and-ride stations. The multi-storey facility is intended for passengers continuing by Metro.

  • Follow the RTA signs rather than parking on residential streets.
  • Tap into the Metro correctly with your nol card.
  • Check the posted parking conditions, operating hours and overnight rules.
  • Record your floor and bay before entering the station.
  • Do not assume the parking entitlement applies if you leave without taking the Metro.

For current parking rules, ask station staff or call RTA on 800 90 90.

Bus connections

The adjoining Centrepoint Metro Bus Station links Al Rashidiya with Mirdif, Al Warqa, Al Khawaneej and other northern communities. Common feeder route numbers historically associated with the hub include F01, F02, F03, F04, F05 and F10, but routing and stop assignments can change.

Use the RTA Journey Planner with the exact destination and travel time. At a large terminus, confirm the bay number on the departure screen rather than waiting at the first stop carrying the route number.

Getting to Dubai International Airport

Centrepoint is close to DXB but is not itself an airport terminal station.

  • Terminal 3: take the Red Line two stops toward Expo 2020/Life Pharmacy.
  • Terminal 1: continue one additional stop after Terminal 3.
  • Terminal 2: it is not served directly by Metro; use the RTA planner for a bus connection or take a taxi.

Allow time for the station-to-terminal walk, airport security and airline check-in. Metro operating hours may not suit very early departures.

Getting to central Dubai

From Centrepoint, board a Red Line train toward Expo 2020 or Life Pharmacy. Both destinations use the same central Red Line section before the branch split.

  • Deira City Centre: R16.
  • Union: R18, with Green Line interchange.
  • BurJuman: R19, also a Green Line interchange.
  • Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall: R25.
  • Mall of the Emirates: R32.
  • Dubai Marina/JLT: use Sobha Realty or DMCC.

Fares and nol cards

RTA fares depend on the number of zones crossed. Standard published Silver nol fares are generally AED 3 for one zone, AED 5 for two zones and AED 7.50 for three or more zones; Gold Class is double.

Centrepoint and the airport terminal stations are in the same fare zone, so a standard Silver nol airport trip is normally a one-zone fare. Confirm current prices on the RTA nol fares page.

Tap in and out using the same card. Each passenger needs a separate nol card or ticket.

Station facilities and accessibility

Centrepoint has lifts, escalators, tactile guidance, accessible gates, toilets, ticket machines, nol top-up facilities and staff assistance. Its terminus layout and bus interchange mean walking distances can be longer than at a simple roadside station.

For a step-free bus-to-Metro transfer, follow the lift signs or ask staff instead of following the main escalator flow.

Nearby areas and destinations

Centrepoint mainly functions as a transport interchange rather than a tourist stop. It is useful for:

  • Al Rashidiya residential district.
  • Mirdif and City Centre Mirdif via bus or taxi.
  • Dubai Airport Expo area.
  • Northern Dubai communities reached by feeder bus.
  • Airport terminals via the Red Line.

A taxi is usually more practical for an address deep inside Mirdif or Al Warqa.
